Highlighting artists exploring new horizons and celebrating major career milestones, the Festival of Firsts is proud to welcome the New York debut of Fun Forgotten Firsts from History, a live performance presented as part of Mick Sullivan’s hit children’s podcast, The Past and The Curious. Through mixed-media storytelling, games, and music, we’ll explore some of the greatest firsts in history—from the first dog to travel around the world, to the first woman to row across the Atlantic Ocean. Audiences will even learn a song that the first all-woman string band in American history played for the King of England. This free, live event will additionally include selections from Sullivan’s upcoming third book, The Ultimate Guide to Animals Who Made History, coming this winter.
